The hottest place on Earth can be safely found among deserts. In addition to the fact that they seem endless and are famous for their daily temperature differences, there are places where even bacteria cannot survive.

We will talk about the hottest and driest corner of planet Earth.

Such is the Dasht-e Lut desert, located in the east of Iran.

The hellish temperature record of +70.7 degrees Celsius was recorded here twice. The first time was in 2004, and the second time in 2005.

The desert on the Iranian-Afghan border extends up to 450 km from north to south and up to 250 km from west to east.

In summer, air temperatures in Dasht-e Lut break records, which are recorded by the MODIS device on NASA's Aqua satellite.

The recorded record is considered absolute for our planet, thanks to which the desert received the title of the hottest place.

Rains here come in spring and do not last long. However, the wind in the desert is quite strong.

It blows constantly and is capable of moving dunes up to 300 m in size.
