We all sometimes dream of a sudden rain of money falling upon us.
And, oddly enough, such cases actually happened in real life.
One of the most famous cases is the incident that occurred on June 17, 1940 near the village of Meshchera in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
That day, after a heavy thunderstorm, local residents began to find silver and gold coins from the 16th-17th centuries on the ground.
In total, about 1,000 coins were found.
How is this possible?
As it turned out, during the hurricane, a cache of treasure that was located underground was washed away.
A strong wind lifted the coins into the air and threw them onto the ground in the Meshchera area, which was certainly a big and, no doubt, pleasant surprise for local residents.
