Katarzyna Jakubowska from Poland set a world record for the longest time spent in a box filled with ice.

Her body was in the cold for 3 hours, 6 minutes and 45 seconds - with only her head remaining outside the entire time.

This record became the longest for women participating in such tests.

Among men, the record for the longest duration of full-body contact with ice also belongs to a Pole.

Krzysztof Gajewski was able to endure 3 hours, 11 minutes and 27 seconds in icy “captivity”.

Katarzyna Jakubowska is a designer by profession, but in her free time she apparently enjoys winter swimming.

In 2023, at the Winter Swimming Championship in Poland, she was able to win in her category by standing in an ice bath the longest.

The woman decided to set the record because it had been her long-standing dream.
