You are unlikely to meet the cats that we will talk about further on the street or when visiting one of your friends.

All of them have a rich history, the roots of which go back centuries, but let's take things in order.

Chinese Lu Hua

The Chinese li, or dragon li as it is also called, most likely originated from wild cats that lived in the mountainous regions of China.

Despite the fact that the breed is thousands of years old, the cat was first shown only in 2003.

The breed, which is characterized by short hair and a black tiger tabby color, is considered endangered.

Korat

Another breed of cat that is considered one of the oldest in the world. Korats originated in Thailand and were first mentioned in the 14th–18th centuries.

These cats have thick fur that is a solid silver-blue color.

In their homeland, Korats are considered sacred. It is almost impossible to buy or sell them - such pets are only given as gifts.

Turkish Van

Although the official history of these cats begins in the 20th century, they have lived in Turkey for many centuries.

The Turkish Van can be recognized by its semi-long silky coat and predominantly white color, but spots of different shades are also allowed.

Another obvious sign is heterochromia, which is often found in representatives of this breed.
