Bettina Dorfman has been collecting Barbie dolls for three decades. She became interested in the hobby in 1993 and hasn't lost her interest since.

At the time of the record, which happened 11 years ago, her collection included 15,000 toys.

Bettina Dorfmann, a 52-year-old lady from Dusseldorf, has collected the largest collection of Barbara Millicent Roberts dolls.

To imagine the achievement of the German woman, one must understand that there are at least 100,000 collectors of this toy in the world.

Dorfman collected dolls from different times and generations, starting with the first releases of the toy in the 1960s and ending with the latest developments.

In 2009, her collection consisted of only 6,000 dolls, but by the time the record was set in 2013, it had more than doubled.

The woman had no intention of setting a record. She simply wanted to save the toys for her children.

But soon she had to sacrifice the office in which she had set up a Barbie museum.

It contains 1,500 dolls. The woman placed the remaining toys in other rooms of the house, and some were forced to move to the basement.

Ms. Dorfman has no intention of giving up her idea.
