Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation showed what they are capable of.
At the same time, the head of the Ukrainian state admitted that he cannot call this operation a resounding success.
Zelensky made these statements in an interview with the American magazine The New Yorker .
The Ukrainian president said that the attack on the Kursk region showed Ukraine's partners what it is capable of.
He noted that journalists have the right to ask whether this operation was a historic failure or a success.
It is too early to judge. But I do not care about historical successes, - said the head of the Ukrainian state, noting that he is focused on the present.
He also spoke about the plan for Ukraine's victory. According to Zelensky, this plan will strengthen Ukraine's position and force Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate.
A strong Ukraine will force Putin to sit down at the negotiating table, I am convinced of this, he said.
Zelensky added that if US President Joseph Biden refuses to approve the victory plan, Ukraine will have to follow the grueling “Plan B” and suffer huge losses.
