Alexander Lukashenko proposed new projects to the Nizhny Novgorod governor, as well as opening a Belarusian trading house in the Russian region.
The head of state stated that the parties should intensify cooperation in trade turnover to reach at least $1 billion.
He told Gleb Nikitin about this during a personal meeting that took place on December 9 in Minsk.
In Lukashenko’s opinion, the parties have room to move forward, since the current trade turnover figure is just over $700 million.
And the task, he recalled, was set as follows: to achieve a billion.
I think that in our lifetime we will still achieve a billion, despite the problems and difficulties that exist today, the President’s press service quotes him as saying.
He proposed to the governor to continue cooperation in the production of buses, trams, electric transport, in the construction sector, agriculture, and in the shipbuilding industry.
We are ready to participate with our industrial enterprises, said the Belarusian leader.
Lukashenko also initiated the opening of the Belarusian Trading House in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
With your support, we are ready to implement any project, the head of state assured his interlocutor.
