How the Kremlin commented on the idea of transferring Crimea under a UN mandate

Yesterday, the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, at a YES meeting in Kyiv, proposed transferring Crimea to a UN mandate for a referendum on the status of the peninsula in 20 years.

This is a rather absurd formulation of the question, Peskov commented.

He stressed that the regions of the Russian Federation are not a subject for discussion or transfer to anyone.

Earlier, the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, commented on Sikorski's idea. He stated that it would be appropriate to transfer Poland under the UN mandate.

Kyiv also responded to the statement by the head of Polish diplomacy. The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Andriy Yermak stated that Crimea is Ukrainian territory.
