On September 19, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for the lifting of restrictions on strikes on military targets in Russia with Western weapons.
The resolution also calls for increasing military aid to Ukraine.
TASS reports this.
The EP called for the immediate lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western weapons against military targets in Russia.
It is argued that these restrictions prevent Ukraine from fully exercising its right to self-defense.
MEPs also called for increasing arms supplies to Ukraine and providing it with German long-range Taurus missiles.
In addition, the countries of the European Union and their allies in the North Atlantic Alliance are invited to commit to annually allocating at least 0.25% of their gross domestic product for military support to Ukraine.
In addition, MEPs called for Ukraine to be given a $50 billion loan secured by income from frozen Russian assets.
EP resolutions are advisory in nature and have no legal force.
