It has recently become known that many fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are ready to make territorial concessions in favor of Russia in order to achieve a ceasefire.

The primary source of such information is the British magazine The Economist, citing the Ukrainian Armed Forces military.

According to the publication, the Ukrainian army does not rule out the possibility that in the near future it will have to retreat in several directions at once.

The servicemen told the magazine that the situation in the context of Kyiv's "systematic weakness" is having a negative impact on the morale of soldiers on the front lines.

In addition, it is said that there is no prospect of rotation at the front or demobilization, notes the TASS agency, which has reviewed the publication.

All this eventually led some military personnel to believe that the only way out of the conflict might be a ceasefire.

For example, an officer with the call sign Chechenets told the magazine that currently 70% of the soldiers in his unit are ready to “give up territory.”

According to the article, the main reason for this mood in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is fatigue from the conflict.
