Russia has no illusions about the pre-elected US President Donald Trump.
This is stated in a statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the American elections.
The Russian Foreign Ministry's statement noted that Trump's victory reflects the American people's dissatisfaction with the Biden administration and the election program of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
The Russian Foreign Ministry predicted that internal tensions in the United States will increase against the backdrop of Trump’s re-election.
The department noted that Moscow has no illusions regarding Trump and the new composition of Congress, since Washington’s line on containing Russia is not subject to fluctuations in the domestic political barometer.
The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Moscow, when interacting with the new US administration, will firmly defend its interests and focus on achieving the goals of the NDC.
