The Polish military has accused Russia of conducting some kind of “information and psychological operation” during the flooding in the country.

However, no evidence of any cyber activity was offered, Russian media outlets point out.

It should be noted that the abnormally heavy rains that hit the republic led to severe flooding.

Rivers overflowed their banks, many settlements were flooded, and the evacuation of people from the affected regions continues.

According to local media, several people died as a result of the natural disaster.

The country's government has declared a state of natural disaster in the areas where floods are raging.

In connection with the flooding occurring in southwestern Poland, we are dealing with an information and psychological operation of the Russian Federation, the MIA "Russia Today" quotes the statement of the Cyberspace Defense Forces of the Polish Armed Forces.

According to the Polish military, Moscow "uses selective information collection techniques in cyberspace and seeks to evoke emotions of fear and helplessness in recipients."

It is also stated that part of the operation is an attempt to undermine the trust of Poles in their country's state security agencies.
