The Kremlin expressed confidence that the Russian army will restore control over all areas of the Kursk region.

He stated that the situation in the areas of Kursk Oblast controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is extraordinary.
This situation will be corrected in a timely manner, assured the press secretary of the head of the Russian state.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the Kursk region began on August 6. A federal state of emergency has been declared in the region, and border residents are being evacuated.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of military operations in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 124 tanks and over 15.3 thousand servicemen.
