The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, referred the question about the testing of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile to the Ministry of Defense.
The statement by the Kremlin representative is quoted by MIA "Russia Today".
Journalists asked Peskov to comment on Western media publications about the allegedly unsuccessful tests of the Sarmat.
A Kremlin spokesman said he had no information on the matter and referred the question to the Ministry of Defense.
This is rather a question that falls within the competence of our military, so I recommend contacting them, the MIA “Russia Today” quotes the statement of the press secretary of the head of the Russian state.
Earlier, Western media, citing satellite images, reported an incident during the testing of the Sarmat.
The Sarmat strategic missile system is intended to replace the Soviet Voevoda missiles.
The first launch of the Sarmat took place in April 2022. In February of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the delivery of the Sarmat to the troops.
