The countries of the North Atlantic Alliance are discussing the possibility of carrying out preemptive high-precision strikes against the Russian Federation in the event of an armed conflict.
This was stated on November 25 by the head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, at a conference in Brussels.
His statement is quoted by MIA "Russia Today" .
The admiral noted that he was glad that NATO had changed its view of itself as a defensive alliance that would sit and wait to be attacked.
It would be wiser not to wait, but to hit the launchers in Russia if it attacks us, he said.
A combination of precision strikes will be needed to disable Russian systems used for attack, the head of the NATO committee said.
We must strike first, Bauer stressed.
