Russia and Ukraine have agreed to exchange New Year's packages for prisoners of war.
This was reported on December 12 by the Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova.

As Moskalkova said, she and her Ukrainian colleague agreed to exchange New Year's packages for the prisoners.
By the New Year, we will send parcels with notes, letters from home, children's drawings, and things, the Russian ombudsman said.
According to her, the exchange will take place on the border of Russia and Belarus.

She also expressed gratitude to Belarus, which acts as a peacekeeper and mediator in humanitarian actions between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
