Belarus and Russia have completed work on the formation of a unified electricity market.

State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev made this statement.

This event, decisions on which will “take place” at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State (scheduled for December 6), in the politician’s opinion, testifies to the success of integration.

It also indicates that the countries have completed the formation of a single energy market, he added.

This ensures a different level of energy security for Belarus, a mutually beneficial solution for the energy sector of our countries, Belta quotes Mezentsev as saying.

As for the upcoming meeting, according to his information, the Agreement on the formation of the unified electricity market of the SG should be approved there.

Thanks to such a mutually beneficial agreement, it will be possible to minimize losses in energy networks, balance tariffs, and ensure mutual energy flow, the Secretary of State noted.
