Deputy Head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev named the condition under which the Ukrainian conflict will end without costs and unnecessary casualties.

At the same time, he explained why the prospect of peace negotiations is receding.

The Ukrainian conflict will end if NATO stops supporting the war, Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with Al Arabiya TV channel.

According to the politician, the use of long-range Western weapons by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has affected the possibility of holding negotiations.

This will not remain without consequences. This naturally concerns the negotiations that you mentioned, but which are still very far away, and such events only delay them, Izvestia quotes an excerpt from the interview.

At the same time, Medvedev is confident that the conflict can end more quickly, without unnecessary casualties and costs.

But for now, NATO intervention is preventing this.

According to the Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council, for peace to come, the alliance must stand on real ground.

Let us recall that on November 21, Vladimir Putin announced Russia’s response to Ukraine’s use of Western long-range weapons.

The Russian leader reported that the Russian Armed Forces conducted a combat test of the newest ballistic missile, Oreshnik.
