Lukashenko voiced proposals to combat climate change at COP29 summit

According to the President, the primary task is to adapt national economies, primarily agriculture, to new conditions.
The head of state noted that Belarus is actively engaged in this topic and is ready to share its experience.
Secondly, Lukashenko continued, it is necessary to eliminate everything that hinders international trade in technologies and the exchange of best practices and innovations, and to ensure that developing countries have equal access to green technologies.
We must ensure that they do not fall into bondage as a result of this assistance, the president emphasized.
He noted that sometimes innovative products, positioned as an environmentally friendly alternative, cause no less damage.
Therefore, according to Lukashenko, it is necessary to develop new approaches to assessing the impact of innovations on the environment.
The President noted that the fight against climate change requires the consolidation of international efforts, not just in words, but in deeds.
It is time to move from words to action, the head of state urged.
