Lukashenko summons Presidium of Supreme People's Assembly for meeting

On the second day of this week, November 19, Alexander Lukashenko gathered representatives of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly for a meeting.

At the beginning of the event, the head of state noted that the current meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly is the first this year.

In connection with this circumstance, he outlined the priorities in the activities of the Supreme People's Assembly – the highest constitutional representative body of people's power.

The President initiated the resolution of the main issue, his press service reported.

We must all understand that the All-Union People's Assembly should not interfere with anyone's work, the Belarusian leader advised those gathered.

According to him, the Supreme People's Assembly "should not dominate other government bodies," otherwise "we will create problems for ourselves."

According to information from the Telegram channel “Pool of the First”, which is close to the President’s press service, the head of state added another item to the agenda.

It will be discussed behind closed doors. It is a security issue, the statement said.
