No Russia is going to attack Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, or Ukraine through Belarus.

Alexander Lukashenko made this statement during the festival-fair "Dazhynki-2024" in Mosty.

No Russia is going to attack Poland, Lithuania or Latvia, or Ukraine through Belarus. Complete nonsense! – the head of state’s press service quotes him as saying.

According to him, no one in Belarus is going to fight with neighboring countries and NATO “without our knowledge.”

But they, the President added, want to strangle Belarus and Russia. In order to achieve this goal, today they are looking for reasons to "reproach us for something."

One of these reasons, the speaker pointed out, is the situation with illegal migration.

Belarus is not interested in its escalation on the borders with the EU countries, but it does not intend to defend them in the current circumstances, Lukashenko said.

They have sanctions against us, and we should protect them? This will not happen. We have said this honestly, the Belarusian leader emphasized.

He also noted that Minsk is open, frank and does not create “problems for anyone here.”
