He did not rule out that in the future the European Union will unite in the good sense of the word and begin to cooperate with Russia and Belarus.

Today, Germany has begun to waver. They will throw this Scholz out of office – and Germany will come to its senses, – predicted the head of state.

According to him, Germany was one of the world's leading economies, but today it has sunk below its knees.

The Germans are not fools, they will make the government work the way it should, the president added.

Yesterday evening, Scholz announced that he had asked President Frank-Walter Steinmeier for the resignation of Finance Minister Christian Lindner.

According to the German Chancellor, he did this to prevent damage to the country. Among the reasons for his decision, Scholz cited Lindner's reluctance to approve both investment in Germany's future and an increase in spending on support for Ukraine when planning the budget for next year.

With the coalition divided, Scholz plans to ask the Bundestag for a vote of confidence early next year, which would allow early elections to be held in March.
