Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated the need to continue strengthening the country's defense capability.
The head of state made this statement on September 24 at a meeting at the Obuz-Lesnovsky military training ground.

The head of state emphasized that Belarus does not want and does not intend to fight.
However, the opponents of Belarus, the president noted, are preparing to fight.
Therefore, we must prepare for war. And God grant that this war does not happen, Lukashenko said.
According to him, although the situation around Belarus is tense, there are no trends towards unleashing a war against the country yet.
At the testing ground, the head of state was shown many new developments in the field of UAVs.
Drones are a serious matter. As the military says, they are very effective and beneficial from the point of view of war, Lukashenko noted.
