Alexander Lukashenko announced Belarus' readiness to nominate Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, for the Nobel Prize.
But this is only if one condition is met. Namely, if the Republican, as he had previously promised, manages to stop the wars.
The Belarusian leader made this statement at the third firewood chopping championship among the country’s journalists.
According to his press service, he recalled that during the election campaign, Trump repeatedly promised to end wars, including in Ukraine, if he won the election.
If he does this, we will send a petition for the Nobel Prize, Lukashenko said.
He also praised the newly elected American leader, saying that “Trump is a force.”
No matter how I feel about him, he is a good guy. It was hard to believe that he could win. They shot, they pressed, they wanted to put him in jail and so on, but he went through like a bulldozer, - noted the President of Belarus.
In his opinion, Trump performed a “personal feat in the name of the American people.”
