Alexander Lukashenko addressed the residents of Latvia in connection with their national holiday – he congratulated them on the Day of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.

The message emphasizes that Belarusians and Latvians have always been destined to live in peace and harmony.

And today, the congratulations say, the citizens of Belarus treat their neighbors from Latvia with sincere sympathy.

As reported by the press service of the head of state, he separately noted: it is nice that those Latvians who have visited the blue-eyed country at least once have retained in their memory not only the beautiful nature of the country, its well-kept fields, and safe settlements.

According to the President, the guests also remember the “thriftiness of Belarusians,” who are ready “to come to the rescue and forgive, to show understanding and compassion to every person, regardless of race, religion, or nationality.”

Belarus, the text states, is always open not only to Latvians, but also to all “people of good will.”

The Republic keeps its doors open for such citizens, trying, despite all the hardships and difficulties, to “carefully preserve ordinary human connections.”

This is the value that can save the world, which is so necessary for all of us, Lukashenko informed.

He wished the people of Latvia health, cloudless skies, prosperity and invited them to visit Belarus.
