According to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the chairmen of district executive committees do not bear the burden that they should bear.
The head of state expressed this opinion at a meeting of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.

The agenda of the meeting included the issue of the need to raise the status of heads of district executive committees in order to strengthen their role in the development of regions.
A draft of the corresponding decree was submitted to the head of state for consideration. The President decided to discuss it at a meeting of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly.
Lukashenko stated that the heads of district executive committees do not bear the burden that they should bear.
The chairman is the chairman. He must deal with everything. It is not a big deal if he in some sense coordinates the heads of private structures, the head of state noted.
