Alexander Lukashenko addressed his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Ould Ghazwani and congratulated him on the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic.

The congratulations separately emphasize that 2024 marks 20 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Minsk and Nouakchott.
This means, according to Lukashenko, that “the time has come to take mutual partnership to a qualitatively new level.”
He also invited his colleague to visit Belarus, explaining how this visit would be useful for the two countries.
The author of the message is confident that the results of the negotiations between the two presidents and Ghazvani’s personal acquaintance with “Belarusian experience and competencies in industry, agriculture, healthcare, construction, education, and medicine” will be a positive signal for the businesses of both countries.
In particular, Lukashenko specified, they will contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Belarus not only with Mauritania, but also with all of West Africa.
