Lukashenko addressed his colleague from Sri Lanka with a proposal

The President of Belarus addressed his counterpart from Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The reason for this was the official election of the latter to the highest state position in the country – President.

Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his colleague on this event on his own behalf and on behalf of the entire Belarusian people.

As reported by the press service of the head of the Belarusian state, the author of the congratulations expressed hope that with Dissanayake's support it will be possible to solve an important task.

We are talking about more fully revealing the potential of partnership between Belarus and Sri Lanka in economic, trade, educational, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

In this regard, Lukashenko proposed updating cooperation plans at the government level in the near future.

Closer cooperation is being initiated in such areas as the agricultural sector, mechanical engineering, the chemical industry, tourism and education.

Belarus has significant experience in producing a wide range of goods and providing services that can meet the needs of the Sri Lankan side, the President noted.

He wished his colleague success in his work in this responsible government position and the implementation of all his plans.
