A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico took place in the Kremlin.
It recently became known what exactly the leaders of the two countries discussed.
The main topic of the conversation, according to information from MIA "Russia Today", was the situation in Ukraine.
In particular, the parties discussed options for resolving the conflict.
In addition, the President and the Prime Minister separately considered issues related to bilateral cooperation.
According to the publication, this is how Fico described the event on his page in one of the social networks.
In a long conversation, Vladimir Putin and I exchanged views on the military situation in Ukraine and the possibilities for a speedy peaceful end to the war, he wrote.
He also said that he discussed the relationship between Bratislava and Moscow with his Russian colleague.
According to the author of the post, he intends to “standardize” bilateral communications.
Fico believes that his idea will be supported, among other things, by events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the victory over fascism.
According to the Slovak politician, the decisive role in the victory over fascism was played by “Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians and other peoples of the former USSR.”
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, reported that Fico, who arrived in Moscow on a working visit, was received in the Kremlin by Putin on December 22.
