The European Union has not yet made a decision on sending troops to Ukraine, but all options are being considered.
This was stated by the representative of the European Union's foreign policy service, Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, at a press conference in Brussels on December 2.
Her statement is quoted by TASS .
The day before, the new EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, in an interview with the Italian news agency ANSA, allowed for the sending of European troops to Ukraine.
Today, Itkonen stated that there is no decision yet on sending European troops to Ukraine.
At the same time, the representative of the EU foreign policy service noted that the EU countries will support Ukraine as long as necessary.
All options are on the table, ” Itkonen added.
The representative of the community's foreign policy service left unanswered questions from the media about why Kallas stated that it was possible to send European troops to Ukraine without a decision from the EU countries.
