Russian President Vladimir Putin called his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and discussed issues on the bilateral agenda with him, the Kremlin press service reported .

The emphasis during the dialogue was on “increasing the effectiveness of trade and economic cooperation,” the press service reported.

In addition to bilateral cooperation, Putin and Erdogan discussed several international issues.

In turn, the Turkish leader’s office stated that Erdogan said Ankara’s goal was to deepen cooperation with Moscow in many areas, but above all to increase trade volumes.
