Ukraine has launched its first strike on Russia using British long-range Storm Shadow missiles.

This was reported by the Bloomberg agency, citing a Western official.

Earlier today, the British publication The Times, citing sources on Downing Street, reported that the US had approved the use of Storm Shadow for strikes against Russia.

US approval was necessary because Storm Shadow is guided using US systems.

According to Bloomberg , the Ukrainian army has already used these missiles.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched British cruise missiles at military targets inside Russian territory for the first time, the agency writes.

On November 17, the American publication The New York Times, citing sources, reported that US President Joseph Biden approved the use of ATACMS missiles to strike Russia.

On the same day, the French publication Le Figaro wrote in an article about Biden’s decision that Paris and London had made a similar decision regarding their SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles.

The next day, the article was removed from the publication's website, and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that the country had not changed its position on strikes deep into Russia.
