A public observation center will operate during the presidential elections in Belarus

It recently became known that a public observation center will operate during the presidential elections in Belarus.

The head of the Central Election Commission, Igor Karpenko, informed the general public about this.

It is planned that public associations will create a public monitoring center, which will be located in the Palace of Trade Unions, the Belta agency quotes the head of the Central Election Commission as saying.

It is also known that the Central Election Commission’s information center will be operating in the Palace of the Republic from January 24 to 27.

Karpenko also reported that five initiative groups are continuing to collect signatures in support of the nomination of presidential candidates.

According to him, 800 national observers have been accredited by territorial election commissions.

Let us recall that the presidential elections in Belarus will take place on January 26 next year.
