With 12 days to go before the US presidential election, Donald Trump is ahead of Kamala Harris in terms of voter support.
According to a new poll, the Republican candidate has a 2 percent lead over the Democratic candidate.
At the moment, the former head of the White House's rating is 47 percent.
But 45 percent of respondents are ready to vote for the current US Vice President.
As for independent candidates and those representing “third parties”, their ratings are much lower.
Respondents who did not choose either Trump or Harris were asked to choose one of these two politicians.
After this change in question, the Republican candidate's lead over the Democratic candidate increased to three percent.
49% of respondents expressed their readiness to vote for him [Trump], 46% for Harris, reports MIA " Russia Today " with reference to the results of a survey conducted by the American newspaper Wall Street Journal.
Trump also beats Harris in terms of approval of his government service: 52 percent to 42 percent.
The survey, which was conducted from October 19 to 22, involved 1,500 respondents.
