Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that discussing the reduction of strategic nuclear forces with the United States would be no more useful than negotiations with Adolf Hitler in 1945.
This is how Medvedev commented on US President Joseph Biden’s statement about Washington’s readiness for negotiations on reducing nuclear arsenals.
The Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council published his comment on Telegram.
Biden reportedly stated Washington's readiness to negotiate nuclear arsenal reductions with Moscow, Beijing and Pyongyang without preconditions.
Medvedev called this statement by the American leader another act of rudeness by Washington.
The deputy head of the Russian Security Council noted that the US is waging a practically full-scale war with the Russian Federation and wants its strategic defeat.
Therefore, negotiations on strategic offensive weapons with America are no more useful than negotiations on an armistice with Hitler in 1945, Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
