Alexander Lukashenko signed the law on ratification of the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Russia.
The agreement concerns the recognition of electronic digital signatures.
The official title of the law is “On the ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on the procedure for recognizing an electronic signature (electronic digital signature) in an electronic document during cross-border electronic interaction.”
The head of state's press service reported that the document was signed.
It is explained that the said international agreement assumes mutual recognition by Minsk and Moscow of electronic digital signatures in electronic documents created in Belarus and Russia.
It is noted that the agreement does not apply to cases where both participants in cross-border electronic interaction are government agencies and subjects of banking and payment legal relations.
