The US State Department stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may strike Russia with their weapons.
This statement was made on October 1 by the representative of the US State Department, Matthew Miller.
The State Department press service reported this.
Miller stated that Ukraine is a sovereign state and can strike targets in the Russian Federation with its weapons.
Ukraine does not need our permission, the State Department spokesman said.
He noted that Ukraine has a huge amount of weapons for defense.
The diplomat also recalled the recent statement by US President Joseph Biden on providing Ukraine with additional aid worth $8 billion, and assured that Washington will continue to support Ukraine.
