At a meeting on September 10, Alexander Lukashenko gave a recommendation to his political opponents.
He advised those of them who have the desire to “turn the country upside down” and prove their case to come and fight in the presidential elections.
In this way, they may try to explain to citizens “their anti-Belarusian position” already at the 2025 elections.
I just want to advise them, as always: if they want to turn the country upside down and participate in the presidential elections, prove their case or something else, they need to come and fight in the presidential elections, the head of state’s press service quotes him as saying.
Lukashenko noted that there is no need to take to the streets, resort to the use of automatic weapons and machine guns, or resort to the use of sanctions.
All that is needed is to come and explain to Belarusians why opponents “care” about their country in this way and why they “fight against it.”
He also suggested that they explain to the people why they were “planning an armed invasion of the territory of Belarus.”
It will be necessary to explain to the Belarusians why they are developing such a policy on the eve of the presidential elections, the President said.
If, of course, the opponents want the people not only to support them, but to understand what they are doing, Alexander Lukashenko summed up.
