Nature has provided animals with protection from the cold – wool, a layer of subcutaneous fat, etc.
However, for some pets this is not enough and for their well-being it is worth dressing them additionally in winter.
Small breeds like Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, etc. do not tolerate cold temperatures well. Because their body surface area is larger relative to their mass, their bodies cool down quickly, so they need to be bundled up if you take them out for a walk in December.
Animals with short hair, such as Dobermans, Boxers, etc., do not have enough undercoat to protect them from the cold. To protect them from the cold, buy them overalls or sweaters.
Additional protection is needed for dogs and cats with weakened immune systems, or who suffer from chronic joint or respiratory diseases.
Young animals are more vulnerable to the cold, because their thermoregulation system is not yet fully developed, so they should be dressed in warm clothes during walks.
Clothing during walks around the city will protect your animals from reagents, wet snow and strong wind, and you will not have to worry that your pet will get hypothermia or get a chemical burn.
