Don't think that training is only for dogs.
Even cat owners can teach their pets a few simple tricks, such as responding to their name.
If you do everything correctly, the animal will not just turn its head in your direction when it hears its name, but will come up and sit in front of the one who called it.
Important: you need to practice performing the command with different people.
This requirement should be followed in order to more clearly explain to the fluffy one his task - to run up to the person who called him and take a sitting position opposite.
So, let's say that you decide to be the first "trainer". In this case, move away from the cat about three steps, and then say his name. Ideally, he should turn around so that your eyes meet.
If this does not happen, be persistent and call out to him again - you must wait for eye contact.
After this, you need to call the kitten to you using the command "Come to me!", showing him a handful of food and saying "kitty-kitty". Lure the pet until he runs up to you.
When the task is successfully completed, treat your cat with food for positive reinforcement. You need to reward not only with treats, but also with words: a simple "good job" is enough.
Step back a few steps and show the cat the second handful of food. Then follow the same routine: say the name and repeat the command "Come!" Repeat the command, gradually moving away.
Once the kitten has mastered this, start calling him when he stops looking at you.
Remember that training sessions should be short and end before your pet gets tired.
