The cat prevents you from sleeping at night: what should the owner do?

Is your cat too active at night?

Don't be surprised: the peak activity of many cats occurs precisely at night.

By the way, darkness does not bother the fluffy one at all: well-developed night vision helps the pet see almost all objects.

Many cats are too noisy at night: they climb onto high furniture, knock things over, meow loudly, and prevent people from sleeping.

This behavior can be explained not only by the peak of the cat's activity, but also by boredom, the desire to eat, and energy that was not spent during the day.

What should a person do if his furry four-legged friend doesn’t let him get enough sleep?

What not to do if a cat prevents you from sleeping

Let's start with unacceptable actions. First, you should not react to the sounds the animal makes.

Don't scold your pet and don't rush to the kitchen to put food in the bowl. Any reaction on your part will make the cat even more impudent.

Secondly, you shouldn't try to lock it in the kitchen or bathroom. An animal in a stressful situation may start making even more noise.

What to do if your cat is preventing you from sleeping

First, you need to create a very comfortable "sleeping place" for your furry friend. Buy or make a comfortable bed. Having such a place will increase the chances that the animal will be quiet at night.

Secondly, "communicate" with your four-legged friend more often during daylight hours. Come up with interesting and active games for your cat. In general, do everything so that the fluffy one does not get bored. And so that he has time to throw out the accumulated energy before the night begins.

Thirdly, feed your cat late in the evening so that your pet does not experience hunger while you are sleeping.

If the above measures do not give any result, then take your purr to the veterinary clinic. Perhaps the animal's bad behavior at night is associated with health problems.
