Huskies are a rather unusual breed of dog whose bark is different from the sounds made by other animals.
In this regard, the owners of such pets have the opportunity to teach them to howl, talk and even sing. How to do this - you will learn from this article.
If you are fired up by the idea of teaching your husky to sing, remember that the success of the operation depends primarily on the individual characteristics of the dog.
If the animal is persistent and has been trained since childhood, then the chances of achieving what you want are incomparably higher.
In addition, the age of the pet is also important - the older it is, the more difficult the learning process will be. Ideally, start "music lessons" at the age of three months. If you are dealing with an adult husky, achieving the goal will not be so easy, especially if the dog is hyperactive.
In addition, remember the consequences: the animal may start singing when it is not required to, for example, at night.
The easiest way is to show a personal example. Choose a suitable melody. At the initial stages, piano music is the best option. The slower it is, the easier it is for the dog to sing.
If your pet doesn’t understand what you want from him, turn on the music, sit opposite the animal and start singing – you can do it only with your voice, without words.
Classes should be held when the pet is in a good mood. If the animal is not feeling well, it is better to postpone the lesson. You should start with short classes lasting no more than 3 minutes a day. Gradually, the time can be increased to 5 minutes. If the dog gets tired, it will quickly lose interest in such classes.
At the initial stage, teach your husky to howl to a melody. Turn on a suitable melody on your phone or other device and sit opposite the dog. Imitate howling and stroke your pet so that it joins in the process. Be prepared for the fact that not everything will work out the first time. When the dog finally starts howling, reward it with a treat.
After mastering the basics, move on to teaching more complex and longer melodies. Over time, your pet will learn to adjust to the music and change the timbre of its voice.
