Sometimes it happens that a cat that has given birth does not have enough milk or none at all, and then the owner is faced with the question of feeding the kittens.

Perhaps the best solution would be to use baby food.

To feed kittens, you can use milk formulas intended for newborns.

In doing so, please try to follow the recommendations listed below.

• Do not give your kitten any mixture with sugar.

• If you cannot purchase infant formula, you can use other formulas, but make sure they do not contain additives such as honey, fruits or cereals.

• To dilute the dry mixture, you will need twice as much water as the volume indicated in the instructions.

• Feed the kitten from a syringe (without a needle) or a pipette, since newborn kittens have a poorly developed sucking reflex.

• Store the prepared mixture in the refrigerator and use it within 24 hours.

After the first feeding with baby formula, watch the baby's body's reaction. If the kitten sleeps well and is active when awake, and its stool is normal and without a strong odor, continue to give it the chosen food.
