Since rats are omnivores, their diet should be varied, but this does not mean that pets can be given everything.

What to feed rats

The rat diet consists of two parts: main food and supplementary food.

The main component of the diet is specialized rat food. It must be given daily, without limiting the amount. Such food can be purchased at any pet store.

Vegetables, fruits, berries and greens, animal protein and a small amount of treats – crackers, unsweetened cookies, nuts, etc. can be used as complementary food.
