It turns out that cats and kittens at this time are driven by fear, instinct or boredom.

The researchers concluded that the animal may be alarmed, frightened. The reason may be sounds that animals hear due to their more universal hearing.
They may feel threatened and will ask to see their owner or try to warn them of trouble.
