Many people have probably noticed that their four-legged friends often push a bowl of water or dip their paw into the liquid.
Some pet owners are interested in why cats exhibit such behavior.
Some assume that the animal is "playing". Others believe that the fluffy one is unhappy about something.
In fact, the cat is trying to get the liquid to start moving.
The thing is that fluffy creatures don’t want to drink stagnant water.
This can be explained very simply: in nature, it is precisely this type of liquid that is most often dirty and dangerous for consumption.
But if the water flows, then, as the cat believes, you can safely drink it.
Therefore, animals have an instinct: they first of all strive for rivers, streams, fountains and water taps.
If there is no access to such water sources, the animal will be forced to drink stagnant liquid. But then the pet will want to at least imitate the movement of water.
The owner of the fluffy one should buy a special drinking fountain. The animal will drink water from such a device much more willingly.
It is worth emphasizing that cats are right in some ways: water poured into a simple bowl quickly becomes dirty due to dust and hair getting into it.
