Many cat owners do not consider such a thing as the condition of the container into which water is poured for the pet to be important.
It would seem that you can use any bowl: the animal will be able to quench its thirst in any case.
However, there are certain requirements for the dishes.
An inappropriate bowl size or weight can cause damage to the whiskers and changes in the pet's behavior.
The container from which the cat drinks water should be quite heavy.
In addition, it is advisable to put a wide but not very deep bowl.
It is bad if the dishes are too light. In this case, they will constantly slide and tip over.
This situation will greatly irritate the pet. And if the liquid gets on the animal's fur, the consequences will be even more serious: the animal may become very angry.
It will be uncomfortable for the fluffy one to drink from an overly narrow bowl. Most likely, in this case, the cat's whiskers (vibrissae) will be strongly bent. As a result, the four-legged friend may have serious problems with touch and overcoming obstacles.
The significant depth of the container also makes it much more difficult for the cat to drink liquid.
