What you can't teach a cat: it's useless if the pet doesn't want it
There are things that there is no point in teaching a cat, despite the long period of domestication of this animal.
Experts say that it is not the pet's abilities that matter, but its character. Once the cat decides that it will not do this, then it is useless to try to get it to do the opposite.
It is said that this is the very trait that makes cats so different from dogs in terms of keeping them in the home.
1. If a person does something bad to a cat, the cat will not change its attitude towards it. But the reason is not that dogs are vindictive and cats are not. It is believed that the latter are actually indifferent to people, and dogs are just the opposite.
2. Japanese scientists have experimentally proven that a cat will be indifferent to a person who has harmed its owner. If this person decides to feed it, it will eat with pleasure. Dogs react negatively to those who do not like their owner.
Why does this happen?
Scientists believe that the reason is the time of domestication of cats, which live side by side with humans less than dogs. Cats and cats are actually also able to feel and react to human emotions, but so far they do not do it as clearly as dogs.
And one more reason. Dogs, like their closest relatives, wolves, are used to living in families. But cats always walk by themselves. Perhaps that is why they do not always care about their owners.
Therefore, it is simply unreasonable to demand more from pets at this stage.
