Cats express their feelings in different ways. Some prefer to lick their owner's hands, while others are ready to bite him if they feel too much.
Most often, an uncastrated cat is ready to lightly bite a person's hand in a fit of tenderness. It's all about the play of hormones.
Overly active pets can also bite their owners. For example, they hug a person's hand or leg with all their paws, squinting their eyes with pleasure. In this specific and not very pleasant way, they demonstrate their love.
But it happens that a cat is capable of biting its owner even if it is not given enough attention. Thus, the animal bites the owner's hand just to keep him near it longer.
But how can you wean a cat off this habit?
First of all, you need to remember that you can't beat an animal. You shouldn't raise your voice either, it will only cause stress in your pet.
If a cat bites, you need to show your displeasure and pain. For example, you can wail and stroke the bitten limb.
Experts also recommend ignoring the animal for about 15 minutes so that it understands that bites do not just go away.
If such an incident occurs during play, it is better to interrupt it. You should leave every time the cat repeats the bite.
