Why Do Cats Fight: The Main Reasons That Make Pets Fight
Usually, when cats are locked in a life-or-death fight, there is a reason for it.
1. The first factor that turns calm pets into fighters is the territorial nature of the cat.
Cats define or mark their territory with pheromones. If territories overlap or so-called "unmarked" areas are discovered, a conflict of interest may occur.
2. As a rule, it is male cats that get into fights, and they can be understood – after all, in this way they are trying to win the favor of the female.
3. Sometimes the fight can be "playful". Thanks to this activity, both small kittens and adult animals get physical exercise and hone their skills.
However, although cats do not release their claws during mischief, innocent fun can turn into a real battle.
4. Finally, the maternal instinct forces cats to enter the battle – the mother will do anything to protect her babies.
